Sliding into fall

Even though we're still averaging around 75 degrees every day, it's hard to ignore that fall fashion is upon us.  As much as I hate to kiss the summer goodbye -particularly considering how unseasonably cold it was this year, I always love an excuse to plump up my closet and read 500+ page magazines!
While I'll admire trends like the skinny cargoes, leather jackets, and clogs from afar, I'll be sticking to a more classically feminine approach (as usual). Here's my fall wish list so far.

My Wish List

Full skirts

I love the inspired pairing of the skirt's luxe gem tone with playful pink cap toe pumps

Chiffon blouses with feminine details

My pick is this Joie Blouse worn by Clemence Poesy on Gossip Girl, Buy it here
Of course Grace did it first.

Lace loveliness
How perfect does Olivia Palermo look in this Valentino?

"Mad Men" inspired silhouettes
How old is Christy Turlington again?
If I've learned anything from this trio, it's to flaunt and not conceal, that fabulous hour glass shape.

Tweed everything

I've never fully recovered from this Nanette Lepore dress Lauren Conrad wore a few years back. If I never manage to track it down, I will settle for the clear umbrella, which is also adorable!

During my quest I did find this Black Halo stunner on Ebay and it looks even better in person! Buy it in grey here

Zoe Saldana wears the real thing, but I'll be hunting for a great Chanel inspired option
Clemence wearing three of my fave trends: full skirt, lace detail, and tweed! (Chanel 2010 Resort Collection)

Playful polka dots

Zooey Deschanel is adorable in dots

Eva Longoria's demurely sexy take on polka dots

Red skirts

A chiffon blouse AND red pencil skirt! Blair Waldorf never disappoints.
Only Ali Larter could make me reconsider my lifelong ban on turtlenecks.

Do you find making lists helpful? What's made it on your wish list so far?

  3. Love your picks! I've definitely decided to dress more girly with more feminine silhouettes this fall. Loving the lace trend and the full mini too.
